Plain English Awards

Seafood ITO is honoured to have been selected as a finalist again in the 2009 Plain English Awards for our website. The website was judged finalist of the Plain English Best Website Private Sector category at the Awards ceremony held in Wellington in September 2009. In 2008 this website was also a finalist and won the 2008 Plain English Best Website Private Sector award.

Seafood ITO set out to build our initial website with an objective of being clear, clean, current and concise. Recognition that the Seafood ITO site has met the high standards set by the Plain English Awards is very satisfying.

An independent panel of professional plain English experts and advocates judges the entries and decides the finalists and winners in five categories.

The WriteMark New Zealand Plain English Awards are a non-profit event held each year and hosted by the WriteMark Plain English Awards Trust. The Awards aim to raise public awareness of the benefits of plain English, and to honour individuals and organisations that are attempting to communicate clearly and fairly.
